Art Therapy for Adults in Washington State

About Me

About Art Therapy

I’m Tina, a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State and a registered art therapist.

I opened Fresco Mental Health in December 2024 after many years working in community mental health across Washington, Arizona, and California. While I’ve worked with people across the lifespan, my private practice is currently focused on supporting adults in a relaxed art studio environment. I think of myself as a generalist with areas of interest including burnout, neurodiversity, parenting and caregiver support, trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief.

Finding the right therapist can be challenging. Beyond availability, many factors shape a good fit. I encourage you to reach out—if we’re not a match, I’ll do my best to connect you with a referral or resource.

You can use the link below to schedule a free 15-minute consultation. If you don’t see a time that works, feel free to email me at tina@frescomentalhealth.com

Art therapy is a form of mental health care that integrates creative expression with a therapeutic relationship. Through art-making, we can explore emotions, experiences, and inner narratives in ways that don’t rely solely on words. Art therapists are trained professionals who work with people of all ages to support coping, growth, and recovery across a wide range of life experiences.

In my work, art becomes a way to gently access insight, build connection, and support healing—meeting each person where they are, with curiosity and care.

Individualized Support

“I want to meet you as you are, not as you ought to be.” -Virginia Satir

I offer virtual and in-person daytime appointments in an art studio setting. My approach to counseling is relational and client centered and I utilized techniques and theoretical frameworks from a variety of therapeutic modalities. Below are some of the modalities and perspectives I commonly offer with clients.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Family Systems
  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Neurodivergent Affirming Care/Paradigm
As an art therapist I won't make you do art, and no art experience on your part is required. I work with clients to find creative insights and solutions based on their unique needs, story and level of comfort with materials.

Cost and Insurance

I am an in-network provider with most Regence and Premera plans in Washington State.

I offer a free 15-minute virtual consultation prior to scheduling an initial session.

My out-of-pocket fee for a 50-minute therapy session is $165.

I’m happy to provide superbills upon request for out-of-network reimbursement.

A good faith estimate of costs is available at your request or upon initial scheduling.
